Laura F. Murphy

Laura was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in April 2023. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s University in 2019 and a Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University in 2022.
Laura maintains a general practice with a special interest in the areas of family law, personal injury and wills and estates.
During her law school career, Laura interned at the Senate of Canada and worked as a research assistant studying outcomes of individual’s found Not Criminally Responsible on Account of Mental Disorder. After law school, Laura completed her Articles of Clerkship in St. John’s and moved home to the West Coast shortly after being called to the bar. When not in the office, Laura enjoys hiking with her two dogs and reading a good book.
